The former where he played the role of the forgetful clumsy evil scientist that commonly fought against his nemesis sometimes friend Perry the Platypus with his "-Inators" who reformed himself at the end of the show. In Milo Murphy's Law he plays a former evil scientist that lost his home. He befriends Milo Murphy and Vinnie Dakota after a misunderstanding with Perry, and creates new, well-intentioned "-Inators". Doofenshmirtz is the reason why Phineas and Ferb don't get busted. Doofenshmirtz is a year-old mad scientist hailing from the village of Gimmelshtump , in the country of Drusselstein. He suffered through a comically exaggerated, neglectful, mentally abusive childhood that left him scarred for the rest of his life. His parents ignored him, briefly disowned him, forced him to wear dresses and act as a lawn gnome while favoring his brother, Roger Doofenshmirtz.

He is the head of Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated , and he tends not to be evil in the traditional sense, but rather overly dramatic, eccentric and generally clueless. His usual lair is an office building that he apparently owns, though he's worked from other locations when necessary for his plans. Doofenshmirtz attempts to wreak generally "evil" havoc and assert his rule across the entire Tri-State Area. Despite true dedication to this mission, almost all of his plans have been thwarted by his nemesis Perry the Platypus , though a few turn out to be successful in nature. Doofenshmirtz has become so used to this foiling that he tends to feel empty or upset on the few occasions where Perry does not stand in his way. Doofenshmirtz seems to quite enjoy musical numbers, and has performed songs about " impressing his professor " and how he hates his brother among other subjects. Though most of his plans are frequently flawful at best and his doctorate was purchased off the internet, some of his inventions almost always suffixed with "-inator" have been fairly impressive and successful. Doofenshmirtz suffered through a comically exaggerated neglectful, even abusive, claimed terrible childhood that left him scarred for the rest of his life. His parents were mentally abusive and ignored him, briefly disowned him, forced him to wear dresses or act as a lawn gnome, and frequently restricted him from doing even the smallest things.

Heinz "Doof" Doofenshmirtz also known as Dr. D and later Professor Time is a fictional character from the American animated television series Phineas and Ferb , and a main character in spin-off sequel series Milo Murphy's Law. The character first appeared in the pilot episode of Phineas and Ferb. He was originally depicted as an incompetent and forgetful evil scientist intent on conquering the "entire tri-state area" by creating obscure but nefarious inventions, despite not technically being a true villain and has a good side on some occasions.
And there is NO taking them off to wear a sleeveless shirt, cute sun dress or regular, girl-length shorts in the summer.
